WARM COMPRESS

Definition:

Long-term application of warm compresses for a few hours.

Effect:
1. Relax the muscles
2. Eliminating pain in the throat or joints rematis.
3. Eliminate the discomfort in the abdomen (stomach using pads moist)
4. Reducing inflammation of joints
5. Giving gentle warmth (fun)

What is required
1. A piece of cotton cloth, folded quite thick, about 5 cm wide and long enough to be looped on the neck or joints twice. May also be used handkerchief women (who are small and thin), folded lengthwise, if you want to use on throat
2. A piece of flannel fabric, width 10 cm length to wrap joints or neck. A piece of flannel baby blankets or diapers, folded lengthwise (longitudinal), precisely to the knee ..
3. Two safety pins.
4. If the doctor recommended medication compress, Vicks VapoRub can be used

Procedure:
1. Dampen a cloth with tap water. Asleep and wrap the neck or joints twice. Make sure that the wet cloth is not too wet (to avoid dripping) nor too dry. If the drug is used to compress, rub the area with medications or ointments according to the recipe. Do not wet the cloth with water but wrap the fabric on the dry part after the medicine spiked.
2. Wear compress evenly and quickly to avoid freezing
3. With a piece of flannel fabric, wrap tightly compress to avoid the wind and use a safety pin so it does not wobble
4. Let the compresses overnight or for at least 6-8 hours
5. Compress not be made strictly in order not to disturb the blood circulation and joint mobility
6 Rub it with a cloth that has been painted of cold water (tap water) immediately after opening the pack in the morning or after 6-8 hours
7. Drain the part. Compress be done once or twice a day.

Attention:
Applying heat very well be done before bed
