COLD COMPRESS

Definition:

A cloth soaked in cold water or ice water as a compress on something the body section

Effect:
1. Eliminate pain due to edema or trauma
2. Preventing congestion head
3. Slow heartbeat if worn on the heart
4. Narrowing of blood vessels, reducing blood flow locally
5. Minimize the bleeding tendency
6. Lower the body temperature when performed on at least 1/4 of the surface of the body, or when it is done on the forehead or neck
7. Stop the bleeding at the nose if it is placed in the nose area

What is required:
1. The towels face cloth or any clean
2. A bowl of ice water, 2/3 full
3. A single bath towel

Procedure
1. Asleep cloth that has been soaked, lest there meltwater
2. Put on the treated part
3. Replace or Renew compress every 2-3 minutes
4. Treatment to relieve congestion 20-30 minutes; for fever continuously for no fever.
5. At the end of treatment, carefully dry the body with a towel and avoid freezing
